About the project
As a result
of the agreement made between Liafjord AS and Cemre Shipyard, the construction
of LIBAS has started. Su Ship Desing handled all the advanced detail designs of
LIBAS, which the main and detail design were designed by Salt Ship Design.
The detail
design was carried out due to the complexity of the equipment in the fish
processing factory and storage system, which is designed as the first LNG
propulsion vessel, will be quite comprehensive. Detailed studies were needed
for isolation of LNG fuel storage and storage of fish. It is important that the
ship, which will have 350m ^ 3 LNG tank and quite large drum areas, to be an environmentally
friendly and energy efficient. Its drum systems will be used to increase the
power during hunting and to provide power in emergency situations. In this way,
the ship will not need to have an emergency generator. 2830m³ of chilled sea
water tanks can be found on the ship and fish will be processed and ready for
the port in the factory area.
